Wile I think dual wielding would be absurd... I like the idea of something akin to a Main-Gauche for dexterous characters to wield in their off hands and would serve a similar function to a shield, albeit not as effective.

I think rogues are already good enough.

If you want to propose an off-hand, it's not a bad idea, but it should probably prevent back-stabbing when equipped. In exchange, it could maybe make the rogue more support-y?

Several talents are already mutually exclusive with other talents - seems like the solution is just to use the same mechanic. Make a "Main Gauche" talent that's exclusive with "Back-Stabber". (The same could be done with Dual Wield, for that matter, but let's stay on topic. )

Lol. THAT is absurd: You must be more dexterous, and it will be less effective...
You just have to replace your shield icon by a dagger.
