This game is a full-on experience that will give you nearly 100 hours of well-paced, challenging, tactical RPG fun.SCORE: 90/100.
People are not kidding about the roleplaying depth, the massive and interactive environment, the SERIOUS NO HAND HOLDING, the difficulty already (but fair), and the rewarding nature of tactical combat. Co-op adds another layer on an already incredibly complex game.
This game might have THE SINGLE BEST TACTICAL COMBAT IN THE HISTORY OF RPG AND STRATEGY GAMES. Better than Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics: Ogre, Advanced Wars, and X-COM. Use of the environment and common-sense use of spells and effects make combat so breathtakingly amazing it will be hard to go back to much simpler combat in other games.
There is some dialogue and some minor flavor speech, but most of the interactions are text. I'm ok with that, but this game has a LOT of reading. It's mostly pretty good, but be warned.
The inventory management is not good, unfortunately. Each character has their own bad and I did not like that, but I know they did it due to carrying weight limitations. You will spend hours just moving stuff from character to character, to inspect, sell, store, and more. The crafting system will be awful to most gamers because there are no recipes and none are stored even when you figure something out. I don't want to have a journal of recipes outside of the game or constantly referring to websites. Crafting is tedious and not enjoyable. Some will think it is great, but most will hate and or avoid it as much as possible.
This is not for casual gamers, people without patience, or people looking for a hack-and-slash loot fest. This is for people looking for a deep and rewarding game, story, and turn-based tactical combat.
