I'm stuck trying to get Leandra's Diary. I've found the three switches, but no combinations of using them will unlock the door. Can anyone help get me past this "show stopper" puzzle?

Where is the 4th one? I've even unlocked the camera rotation to search that room in 360 degrees and cannot find it.

I found two in the top left of the room that are pretty close to each other. They are on the corners of the wall. The third one that I found was hidden behind a tall candleholder.

At this point, I'm starting to wonder if I ran into (another) glitch. I've spent over an hour in this room and just want to move on with the game. While you may think it I've overly exaggerated my time... either my watch is running a lot faster then normal, or I'm just being too patient with this puzzle.

there is one on the stairs you use to get down into the room, be careful for a VERY difficult fight afterwards smile

Ok, I noticed it when putting the flaming coal baskets out. Problem is after clicking all of them I still can't proceed. Is there a 5th?

Ok, thanks for all the help.

After a good half hour, I gave up and did the battle on easy, which still took about 4 tries to finally get threw it.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm throwing in the towel and saying Larian screwed up with the balancing. The game just isn't fun on normal difficulty after Cyseal. Spent a good 20 hours this weekend trying to enjoy it on normal and now I just give up.

Thanks again.

I had to get help on the puzzle but the battle (I'm playing on normal) was well balance for my party and I did it on the first try but had one death and it took a while - maybe 30 or 50 minutes. My party is not super buff; I have two mage like characters (one is better at pyro the other earth) and two fighters - one is two handed the other is one handed/shield. The order you do the area might impact difficulty. I totally missed this area and so did it at the end (just before going to phantom forest) so I was level 15ish - i think i level to 16 upon completing this fight but not sure. I could see if i had come here at 13 or 14 it would have been a lot more difficult or maybe I just got lucky. I have piled Madora with most of my best equipment and i tend to stone skin/haste and use summon and shield warrior to distract the spell casters and eat damage while she wacks away.

Your video helped me greatly. Knocking that boss down was a very fast way to "dispose" of her. I also used a tactic of (with camera unloced to spin 360 degrees) of keeping summoned elementals blocking the door so I could just get rid of the leader. Then I slowly let one of the monsters in that room where it ended up dieing.

Why can't they just die quietly? Gotta go out hollering and screaming. If they would just have kneeled down and let me lop of their heads it would have gone by quicker...
