Oh no you can beat the game by sitting down and playing it 16 hours a day for a few days in a row. Just like every other single player / co-op game that has ever existed ever. D:OS actually has a startlingly high amount of content, especially for a game that came out in 2014. You know, since we're in the age where casuals can beat campaigns in 5-8 hours on their first try.

I think the keyword here is boring. They don't want to make something that's boring. They want every part of the game to be good so you don't walk away and go "Man this part was great, but that part really sucked and detracted the overall value of the game!"
