This may sound a bit ridiculous but I tend to play solo a lot. Meaning I have one character that buffs up on crafting, loremaster, and blacksmithing skills and the other that actually goes out and kills stuff.

The problem is that on restarts... while it begins find, invariably (especially after using the pyramid), the other character becomes the default.

Is there a way to alleviate this?

I think I understand what you're talking about. Assuming that, have you noticed if the default is whichever character's portrait is "first" or at the top?

I was going to say I've noticed that when in sneak mode with the character I have selected and then I quicksave/reload, it defaults to the person on top (who just happens to be the one distracting the NPC). Switching the portraits around should help.

The person on top isn't who it defaults to... it actually defaults to the second one down..

I like the idea of forcing a "leader" mainly because I don't want my mp partner to come in while i'm on the other char and take control of my main char with the amount of griefers, and them possibly not knowing the build I was trying for. making a character
default would also switch you to them if another person came into mp, and would be first picked every time it loads I would presume, would be useful.

Hm, maybe I've confused myself with switching them around so much that I thought it would re-designate who it defaults to on loading.

The character on the right (default as Roderick) is the "main" character in the game. I noticed this in my initial playthrough, when I tried using the one on the left as the primary, and it kept switching me back to my alternate.

Except that's what changes... they stop being the "main" character and it swaps over to the other one.
