Listen up ye olde critics. Divine Divinity is a CRPG, not a strategy game. If you wanted a strategy game that has roleplay elements, try Age of Wonders 1 and 2 (and soon Shadow Magic), which is a purely turn-based strategy game that is difficult on higher difficulty AI and extremely difficult when you play against other human players. There are also other strategy games like Warcraft and Heroes of Might and Magic that might interest you. But for the CRPG genre, the only remotely tactical game I can think of is Baldur's Gate I and II, and even then all the strategy is in doing more damage, finding the most powerful magic items and firing off the most damaging spells while casting some protective spells. For what it was, a CRPG, Divine Divinity did superbly. If you want strategy, look no further than Age of Wonders -- but the storyline will be rather lackluster...
