Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Help/Tips/Tricks Unreachable Key

During the multiple quests that take place in Black Cove one of the enemy orcs fell on top of the captain pirate making it impossible for me to loot his body and get the key that opens an important door for many quests. This unfortunately keeps me from getting quite a bit of XP and finishing around 3 quests. So my main question is whether or not there is a way around this. Will I eventually be able to lock-pick the door?

There are no orcs in fight with pirate captain that drops keys. You have not met him yet

I have been all over that cave so many times. I cant imagine have missing a battle somewhere. I got all the way to the ghosts at the end of the cave. The gate I'm referring to is the ominous black gate. I will take your word for now and check again. If you could PM me its location I would really appreciate it!

You have to find the trap door in the room behind the source abomination.

The key is in a cave under the Black Cove.
