After patching, I'm not able to restore any of my previous games
Pop-up says "contact Larian if this keeps happening", which I do.

[Mac] Situation with saves

The 800MB one. I don't think it's the problem mentioned in your link - saves are...well, saved into .lsb files, not .lsv.

Just updated the game through Steam. Last time played at 16 July 1.00 am. Today 17 July 1.00 am patch was dowloaded and installed. I do not know what version. None of my save games are working now too. Shame for a RPG game that i need to start everything from skrach. Any solution?

P.S. First time in my life i am outraged by the PC game...
P.P.S. Is there any instruction about diag info gathering and where to send?

I have a same problem. I didnt play for a week (since 10/07) and now after patching i cant load any of my save games.

I can confirm this issue.
Error 117 for savegames created before the last 2 patches.

It must be a bug since the last 2 patches.
It will be fixed, I'm sure.
Nothing to be outraged or something.

I've got the same issue, i cannot load any of my saved game... Very annoying... Hope you will find the solution soon.

Just did a little check. Removed Divinity Original Sin folder with all data to a different location. Started the game - it says "create new profile" - did that - quick saved - the game created new Divinity Original Sin folder with QuickSave_0 subfolder - compared this subfolder with old one and discovered that there are new files in the new one - meta.lsb and sanity.lsb. So obviously after the patch this game will not load old save data - there are missing files!
Update: Also there was QuickSave_0.lsb file in the old folder - missing in the new one.

could you state already which operating system your are encountering this problem on ?
so far, the saves i have loaded do not have this error when i load them on this system, which is win7 64-bit

Simply run the tool and click generate report.

old saves should load fine without those files
i ve received some reports with people having this error , but when i load the saves here, they load fine without any issue

I played last night prior to the patch that Steam just downloaded and now I can't play any of my saved games. I just tried creating a new game and it works. I don't get any specific errors other than "program has stopped responding".

Windws 7 64bit, worked fine last night.

Tried to replace files it the new QuickSave_0 folder with ones from the old. With replacement. Game just crashed. But i did not get 117

could anyone confirm if they have mods installed or not ? or if you have used the editor ?

No mods. No editor. Pure Steam install. Latest pacth (i just checked).

Same as Mello, straight out of the box (Well Steam).
No mods, no editing my saved, just pure playing.

Also had only been playing offline campaign mode. I can choose any of my saved games, it goes through the bars showing what step it's on and you can hear the click and then it goes to "not responding" and crashes out.

I can send you the CrashDump file also if that would help.

Just sent you new report.zip. In the previous one it seems that i forgot to return Divinity Original Sin folder with corrupted files back to where it belongs (i was trying to recreate this folder by starting completely new game, so i removed brocken data from Documents, that is why this happened)
