A slightly idle and not entirely serious thought.
So, according to Rivellon's cosmology, there were Seven Gods. Six of them in turn created the six races; Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Imps, Lizardmen, and Humans. The seventh God created wizards. So we have the Seven Divines, the Council of Seven, so forth and so on. All very neat.
But hang on, what about goblins? They don't have a patron god. They don't get a seat on the Council of Seven. Admittedly the goblins seem to be fairly savage, but no more so than the Orcs. They seem to have recieved a decidedly raw deal.
