A couple mechanics are frustrating the crap out of me today that I'd like to put up for future change consideration:

1. I hate that my scout is the only character in combat if he ventures too far from the group. I would like to maintain control of the rest of the group somehow so I can draw them into battle.

2. Fleeing is useless unless there's a single character in combat. Enemies will run clear across the map to track down the fled character. They only ever break combat if only a single character entered combat to begin with.

3. Combat never seems to break. My entire party goes invisible and runs leagues away, but combat never exits and as soon as invisibility wears off, the enemies chase them down with apparent clairvoyance. Again, breaking combat on invisibility only works if a single combatant entered in the first place.

I never bothered using escape tactics until the game throws invulnerable enemies out. That's punishing enough thank you, no need to screw me over with no escape options.

1. Simply select them and move them to the combatzone to make him join combat.
2. Never seen this happen. If everyone fled, that's it, enemies wont run after them...
3. The only escape is fleeing, invis still leaves you in combat by design (imagine making everyone invisible and just being able to move around without AP penalty to targets, not gonna happen)

I tried escaping the
Ghoul at the lighthouse
but he simply teleported to my party and wiped it out.

To add to the above, also try changing your battle/movement formation.

What are you even talking about? This has never happened, and I have consistently used a flee-strategy to win a lot of hard-pressed fights with what you mentioned never being an issue.

You really need to explain this in further detail/record it on video.

Looks like OP hasn't quoted there's a flee button (middle of right border) and that's the only way to flee (perhaps also changing area I never tried it but quoted that stuff as stairs was enabled during combats.

I used the flee button a few time (stealing going wrong) and it worked but the tricky point was to manage do it and have no death. In some cases in can be a problem like in a cave.
