A lot of Hunter's Edge's quests take into account that the characters are infiltrating the immaculates and driving a wedge between the humans and orcs which is great however there's a missed opportunity in the quest "The Hunt in Hunter's Edge" that I find disappointing.
In my playthrough I
Had the cat tell me about the Ratcatcher's rats trying to find the wizard's servants. In the Inn I found the poison and the cheese which enables me to kill a rat, spawning the Rat King. I then made a deal with the Rat King to get rid of the cat.
So not to double cross the cat, I convinced it to leave town and trust that I wouldn't betray it. I then went back and talked to the Rat King who informed me that they found the servants so I went to talk to the Ratcatcher and he was happy to go to the location where the servants were hiding.
So my thought process was that I get to follow the Ratcatcher to the location of the servants since he went to find them before informing anyone else, then kill him when he was no longer useful.
Not only does attacking him do nothing outside of the cellar but attacking him on the inside kills the servants.
I just feel this is a wasted opportunity to add yet another roleplaying option to complete a quest and this solution i attempted would work perfectly with the tone of the questlines.
