Is it possible to install the game on an external HDD instead of the Home Drive in Mac OS X? If possible, how is it done as the install requires to move the app to the Home Applications folder.
If you using Steam then you should be able to create a new Steam library folder (have not tried it one mac though). In Steam go to "Steam drop down menu"->"Settings"->"Downloads"->"Steam Library Folders". The add a new one for your external drive. When you install the game you will them be prompted what library folder to use.
