I mean pointless in the sense of "knowing that they are stats does not affect my gameplay at all". I am never going to choose +hearing or +sight over basically anything else. My experience with ranged combat has been that the accuracy penalties for long distance are so great that I would never WANT to shoot farther than 18m.
Basically what I mean is 'if they simply had both of those stats increase with Perception, that would be fine'. Or if they had them be static across all characters, that too would be fine.
