For those that run into the same problem (destroying the Wood Door and not unlocking the waypoint) i had to brute force the earth door with a tenebrium weapon and then proceed normally to the air gate, from there in the room that the statues are use the mirror, you'll go to the room where you get the earth key (which you alreayd opened the door of) you can use the mirror again to go to the gold vault and from there unlock the waypoint and destroy the first set of statues.
At least i didnt have to replay about 6~ hours by brute forcing it.
