Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Mpenzak's cart - can't get wine for Corinna

Anthrabert wanted me to set Mpenzak's cart on fire, but I changed my mind and didn't do it.
The next day the cart was burnt down anyway, and I told the guard that I knew who did it.
Now I can't find Anthrabert and Mpenzak doesn't have any wine,
so what can I do?
I've been playing for a while, so I don't want to load an earlier game.
Not sure if I have one either.

Is there some other way to get the wine, or do I have to abandon the whole
Corinna quest?

The bottle of wine will be sitting in the Ducal Inn in Verdistis, in the hotel room north of irritated elf's room is...I don't have a screenie, maybe someone else does. I can't seem to get the quest for the wine to clear though, but the bottle there works for Corinne's quest.

Anthrabert is the character who actually has the wine, Pierce sold it to him. When you informed the Guard that Anthrabert was the one responsible for burning Mpenzack's cart, the Guard ran down and arrested him. Don't worry, that was supposed to happen. If you go back to the room in the Inn where you first met Anthrabert, you'll find the wine on the floor.

Hopefully they'll fix this in a future patch.

I think you can substitute the wine.If that does not work look at the begining of forum."listing of techical fixes" by Lynn I think there's one for missing items or check postings by Raze. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It doesn't break the quest - I did the same thing. The wine is on the floor in one of the rooms in the Ducal Inn. Just make sure that you pick up a bottle of "Exquisite" wine as opposed to regular wine.

I didn't want to post a new topic for this problem I have, so everything can be found back in one place.

But the problem I have is a bit different. I did the same as the people who posted before me, didn't burn Mpanza's cart that is. But I got back to Anthabert before going to the guard, and the dialogue I had with him pissed him off. I didn't want to kill him because I wanted the wine and I wanted to turn him in. So I ran out of his room and closed his door. The problem here is that the door got locked. And even after I go tell the guard the door remains locked. So I can't get to the bottle of wine ...

Does anyone have a solution for this? Thank you in advance ...

You do not have Lockpick?
Corinna will accept different wine, so you can just buy some from Pierce.


You could also get the exquisite wine from;
Lost Items - guide and directory of inventory files

or bypass the door;
Teleporting Anywhere, via hex editor
