But I since I disagree with everyone, I'll give my two cents.

I very much enjoyed Arcanum. And I bought it when it was full price. Right now, it's cheaper than heck, and I am shocked that people wouldn't think it was worth the miniscule price. Yes, it's a bit sad in the graphics department...but the many ways you can choose to play the game are phenomenal. The magic user/tech user/diplomat options are pretty cool. But the thing that excited me most, was the END. This really isn't a spoiler, but I've never before seen a game that showed the consequences of your actions or inaction so well. I've never replayed the game...but I imagine I will some day. There were a myriad of MAJOR quests, that you could complete, or not complete, and still advance gameplay. It was very open ended, totally non-linear and as far as bugs go..I really only noticed one, and it was in no way a game stopper. Also, multi-player didn't seem to work. But offline RPG's are what I purchase to play by myself anyway. Combat was a little unbalanced, it was much more difficult to go the tech route, than the magic user route...but it was in no way impossible, just a little more challenging.

I enjoy all sorts of games...I loved the diablo games...but Arcanum was a true RPG...it may have been a little slow for some people, but you could be as bad as you wanted to be, or as good. I thought it was a nice game. I never regretted the money I spent on it...unlike PoR2, and a couple other I could name.

So that's my humble opinion...the good and the bad. I really think most of you were WAYYYY to hard on what I thought was a decent game.
