Hi guys

I have a bit of a problem.

i got the quest, found the troll cave, PICKED UP ALL THE MUSHROOMS in the cirle, later found the book with the spell to undo the barrier.

problem - i stand in the circle where the mushrooms WERE, i can read the book, and i get the message 'i wonder what that did', but it does not work. when i go back inside its still blocked.

so i messed up royally and i dont have a save before i picked up the mushrooms.

is there a way around this? any way to save my game? i would absolutely hate to start over again.

did you try to put the book on the floor ?

edit : not the right solution

just tried it (clicked on it on the ground and moved to several locations in the circle), didnt do anything, the troll & gold piles still stone.

what now?

I reloaded an old saved game, looks like you just need to read the book outside in front of the cavern on the grass inside the circle (I was wrong or they changed the behavior). But you must select a main character (not companion) to read the book or it will not work. They say something if it works. Otherwise, give the book to another main character, enter then leave the cavern (this may reset somthing) and try again.

As a general thumb of rule, all special spells (reveal, barrier removal etc.) need to be done by Hunters, not Henchman or Madora/Other dude who's name currently slipped me.

Just like all NPC's wont talk with them either.

It worked for me. I picked the mushrooms and casted the spell much later.

hi guys. sorry for the late response, i was away on holiday.

i am still unable to cast the spell. i tried both main characters. the just say 'does anything seem different now?'. inside the troll is still stone.

how do i fix this?
