Hello all, hope you're having a nice morning/afternoon/evening. smile

It's night where I am right now, and I've just finished Div Div for the first time. Unfortunately, I left a few loose ends dangling when I hit the gong, so now I've Hexed my way back to the Farmlands using the instructions in the other thread.

Problem is, my guy physically will not move. The first time I teleported, his feet were visibly stuck in the ground. The second time, I used the coords for the Ars Magicana, and now he's standing nicely on his feet on the pad, but he won't respond to mouse input.

Everything else works fine, and clickable characters and items within range are still clickable, but he just... won't... move! laugh

Would love some help here, because I really want to sort out Garth, the Duke's murderer, the pickpocketing stuff, Shrimpo... laugh

Do you have a save before the Blessing Ceremony?

If you zip your unedited save in the wastelands and email it to me (raze@larian.com) I can take a look at it. I did check hex editing back from the wastelands once, but that was in the original disk version of the game. I didn't check if quests could be completed that way, however (the quest log is reset entering the wastelands, but I don't know if the actual quest status is wiped or just the log).

Ah yes, I meant to say that I was running the Steam version. I'll have a look at my saves and see if there's a pre-gong one somewhere.

Nope! BUT, I did just now manage to un-anchor myself. Casting a Heal spell on myself seemed to break whatever was holding him down, and now I'm free, free to wrap this sucker up and get on with Beyond Div! laugh

Thank you for your offer Raze. I can't begin to understand what the problem actually was. For the record, it felt like he was somehow 'locked'. His 'resting' animation still played, everything was clickable, but he wouldn't walk away from his landing zone. But casting the spell, and thus 'forcing' him to do some kind of full-body animation, seemed to 'unlock' him and he began responding to mouse clicks again. Most strange.

Usually (with a couple exceptions) if you use the teleporter pyramids or hex edit outside the normal play area you are unable to move, such as down in the sewers or across the river in the south east section of the Dark Forest.
I guess that flag was set when you hex teleported, but the spell effect triggered an update.

Interesting. Well, also for future posterity, I'm able to play as normal, complete quests etc, although the journal never updates and only retains the final Q - kill the Lord of Lies. But it is sooo satisfying tying up these loose ends! Thanks again. smile
