I really don't have the time or the fucking patience for that bullshit. Want a hard time? Or just go find your local gangs and piss them off until they hand you a few beatings that should increase the difficulty settings for walking down the street.....what's that? You're not going to do it? But it's too fucking easy to just go to the store, the consensus says it's too easy. If any kid of mine ever asks for something to be harder he'd get the beating of a fucking lifetime.

While I guess this wouldn't apply to you, there are players out there who like to be challenged. However, purposely gimping yourself to create difficulty artificially is not the type of challenge they're looking for. Part of the challenge is to have difficult encounters, yes, but the other part of the challenge players enjoy is to figure out (legal) ways to develop powerful characters to take on those challenges.

So, in short, some players want the game to be able to give as good as it gets. They want to push the allowable legal limits of the game, and they want the game to push back just as hard. When that happens they're at their happiest, as they face difficult encounters that they're only managing to survive through hard "work" and smart play.

On an observational note, your attitude stinks. It was bad in alpha/beta (albeit in a different way) and has gotten even worse since then. I had a feeling this would happen to some of the alpha/beta folks.. you were one of the ones who got upset and defensive every time someone offered development feedback that wasn't all rainbows and sunshine. Now you just seem disappointed and bitter, like someone who just had a falling out with the love of their life (i.e. this game). I get that you're not happy that the editor isn't giving you the control you're looking for (yet), but this is still the same good (although somewhat flawed) game that you so rabidly defended during beta.
