Hey all,

I am in the source temple and trying to puzzle my way out of the trial of ascension. I don't need the direct answer for the candle puzzle since I want to do the whole puzzle as intented. I read that you should light the 3 pillars of self awareness by destroying the 3 correct trial statues. I tried destroying the trial statues, but I don't get a message that I destroyed the correct or incorrect one and the pillars will not light up in either case. Help appreciated.

Hey I followed your guide. Earlier I followed a similar one from another guy. both are quite helpful, but I think my issue must be a bug. After reloading the autosave that is made upon entering the puzzle area with the 3 pillars of awareness the issue is still the same. When I am clicking one of the trial statues I don't see any text appearing and they are completely mute. Destroying them isn't resulting in anything. I am playing version 1.0.81.0

I know that redoing it must suck, but have you tried loading a savegame from before you entered the temple and tried again from there?

No. That will be the autosave before I entered the source temple and that goes quite a way back. This is not a huge issue for me in the end. I can still solve the candle puzzle in the end without issues.

I think this puzzle takes into account how you have behaved yourself during the game. So if you have been bold and daring, you'll need to destroy the cautious statue and vice versa.
