Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Technical Issues One Main Char can't talk to anyone

I have been experiencing this bug about every day 1 or two times. Sometimes I can fix it by killing the character or clicking a non-person-thing with conversation option (like the wishing well) but usually I cant fix it and need to go to an older savefile which is greatly annoying me.

I know in options you can select the option to have just one Main char talk but this is not it. It kinda ruins the game for me now and I really dont know what to do anymore. Anyone has any idea what causes it ?

A similar bug during the alpha (triggered by a specific conversation) could be fixed by walking out of Cyseal through the north or north east gates, and then returning.


It may help Larian determine the cause of this if you save after it happens, and email them that and the previous working save. A couple examples would help, especially if there is one which is reproducible, or even just a small enough time difference to limit the number of things that could be involved.

You can email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain system and game information, any crash dumps, and your saved games. If file size is an issue, any saves not related to the problem can be deleted.

Ok I'll do that next time it pops up because as random as it appears as random as its gone :o Currently its working again. But probably later today I will have that same issue. Hope they will find something because it is messing up the fun even though I really love this game.

I fixed this problem talking with the Well, near the Church.

Well that worked 1 time but not every time. Got the bug again now so Ill try email the stuff Raze said earlier. Thanks though!
