Have the devs mentioned any future plans to allow us to craft status effects into weapons such as Blinded, Stunned, cursed, etc ?

Not sure how they would work out the percentages of each but they do not need to be as powerful as found uniques and such, just would be cool to have the option to make crafted weapons somewhat comparable to found ones.

Anyone else notice the lack of this feature means crafted weapons seem weak compared to found ones?

Crafted weapons are always weaker than the ones found in shops after lvl 16. There is no comparison, as it should be. Just that you haven't seen some obscenely OP weapons at lvl 19-20. Even the crafted ones at lvl 22 hold no candle to them in any aspect.

It's probably intentional, this way crafting is there as a fall back in case RNG screws you over and you haven't seen a sword, staff, or whatever in ages.

Status effects on weapons are absolutely useless and I'm unable to see the reason why would anyone want them on their crafted stuff. Throughout the entire game, I've seen a status effect from a weapon being applied exactly two times (and I'm constanly running with debuffing weapons). They are useless because the chances are still affected by saving throws so e.g. if you've got a 20% chance to apply some debuff this way, then all it takes to make it absolute zero chance is mere two points in Willpower / Bodybuilding and almost every enemy has that many, especially mid- and late game. To make it work, the percentages would have to be very high and if they were, this would probably be way too overpowered.

Of course I can. I'm a Planewalker, berk. I've seen everything. I've met everything. I've done everything."

Yeah, there's something seriously wrong with status effects on weapons, and it's current system means they are always a waste of a slot on a random generated item.
Avoid them at all cost until that's changed.

Found weapons might be more powerful (depending) but crafting allows you to add some truly insane boosts to already amazing items... you can totally break the game crafting.
