I'm enjoying the game (I think I'm around 1/2 way through) but not playing it much now as I'm finding it too easy on hard level and I don't use Leach (I'm not saying I'm an uber player, I think I just got lucky on my party skills).

I want to complete the story but would rather wait until they add a higher difficulty setting.

So, has anyone heard if they're thinking about adding one? Shouldn't it be quite simple? Just increase enemy HPs and/or damage.

Yeah, they just recently added a new difficulty level.
All you need to do to enable it is...
A) Not take Glass Cannon.
B) Not take other party members.
C) Not take Lone Wolf.

Each of these enables a whole new difficulty mode. smile

So I can still take leech, abuse rubies, and become immune to all types of damage?

Just play blindfolded while a ferret nips at your feet. The only true hardcore way to play.

I think you found even more hidden difficulty modes!

Do the solo challenge that some are doing. Of course you'll need to drag your party around for some of the puzzles that require multiple people.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

So I am not necessarily finding the game too easy, though I am only about halfway through the game, and it has started being way too easy on normal mode in most battles. I think I might up it to hard, and see how that is.

However, I think you are all missing the OPs point a little bit. Sure, you can make the game harder by doing Lone Wolf or trying to solo or something. But the OP is in the middle of the game. He presumably does not have Lone Wolf, so that's not an option yet. And besides, someone should be able to play with a full party (which allows the most fun options and strategy) and not have it be too easy.

I do not think we are missing his point. There is no official harder difficulty. They certainly might create an even harder difficulty in the future, but right now the only options are to challenge yourself with limitations. Which, to be fair, is a tried and true method for people seeking greater challenges since video games were invented.

So it is perfectly reasonable to suggest alternative methods of playing that would make the game more challenging. The tongue in cheek is just for humor. At least I didn't pun.
