I keep returning to this cave every time I increase perception on a character. Right now with 14 perception, I'm unable to find any secret levers or ways beyond the statue that is between two piles of what looks like silver coins.

Is there anything in here or just a dead end? There were no tenembarium ore or bars in here.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

Are you talking about two statues right next to the entrance?

If this is the case, then there are no hidden levers or so. In order to pass through, you need to find Maradino's lair and read his dairy/ secret notes. There is a spell in these notes which you have to read at a certain place in order to pass the statues in the troll king cave.

Maradino is in the Dark Forest, right? I know he isn't in Luculla Forest as I spent quite a few hours and finally murdered some talking mushrooms. (How dare they lead on on a wild goose chase! I will not be the victim of goose chasing!)

No, Maradino is in the Luculla Forest - have you already found Frederick?

I don't remember finding a Frederick. I've actually been done with Luculla Forest (with exception areas with monsters that are invulnerable) for quite a while. I've just been coming back to this area each time I level up and add points into Perception.

He is lying in the desert somewhere in the area next to the spider queen. If you talk to him, he'll tell you that he was looking for the blood stone of Maradino but that his imp pushed him from the cliff above. So, if you go up, then you'll find a hatch which leads to Maradino's lair. It is near the cliff's edge and I think you need some points in perception to spot it.

Ok, I saw that guy but he went on about his friends worshiping the spider eggs. He said nothing about the blood stone. Though I'll look around this cliff for "shits and giggles" at this point. I've pretty much given up on the game until a rework comes out as it is truly a huge mess to play right now.

Thanks for the help, it is appreciated.

EDIT: Ok, the NPC I thought you were talking about is a "Bewildered Cavaleer" I found this Frederick that was hidden by some beams that look like they should have been in a mine. I didn't even notice this NPC until I heard someone scream while I was looking at the map, and I was standing next to this guy. Heh, such dumb luck!
