I mentioned Bush beer before. Probably on the old forum. Dunno if anyone remembers...

Anyway... If you want to taste a really special beer you should visit Belgium this year.
In Pipaix the brewery Dubuisson brews the famous Bush beer.
Aparently Bush is a kinda English/American translation of Dubuisson. That's why they called one of their beers Bush. Kinda naming it after themselves.
The brewery was "founded" in 1769. And in 1933 the first Bush beer was created. So they're celebrating the 70the aniversary of it this year. They're opening a restaurant and a museum. Also they're brewing a special version of the Bush beer that will be called Bush Prestige.
-Bush is known becouse it's the strongest beer made in Belgium and therefore probably the strongest beer in the world.
They produce about 2.000.000 liters of Bush beer a year.
That may look like a nice figure... but worldwide it's nothing ofcourse. It's exported to the USA, Taiwan, Japan and Brazil mostly. But becouse there's so little of it it's pretty hard to find. (86% is "reserved" for the Belgian market). And the family Dubuisson wants to keep it that way. I guess they like the beer to stay an exclusive (an probably very expensive overseas) brand.

-I personally only seen it - and drunk it - in Belgium up till now.

That will confuse some people in the States as there is a Bush beer as well. Made by Anheiser-Bush.

Or is it spelled differently? *Isn't too sure about beer names. *

I could have been very happy not knowing that. "Game over, man! Game over!"
