I shutdown last night, and today no matter what I do, it reverts to a specific Quicksave (when using Quickload <F8> or starting the game and clicking 'Continue'). I deleted my Quicksaves later to see if it would 'reset' and it's still using deleted Quicksave files - even though they are no longer on my computer. Does it save my files to Steam? Also, I noticed that while there used to be 4+ Quicksaves (Quick_Save_00 through Quick_Save_04 or whatever it used), it only listed Quick_Save_00, Quick_Save_01, and Quick_Save_02 in the file directory when I deleted them.

I AM able to make a completely new save, and load that directly (although the screen shot is a black screen).

Anyone else experiencing this issue or have experienced and fixed it?

I noticed that there was a patch yesterday and this did not happen before.

I'm running v1.0.107.0 on Win7-64 with a FX-8120, 16GB RAM, and a 2GB GTX 770 ACX. I'm using an SSD with plenty of free space for saves.

I want to be able to use Quicksaves.

Try going into the Game options and increasing the number of quicksaves kept (can be up to 25). That should reset the current save number counter.

Try creating a new profile, start a new game and quicksave several time. Does that then let you quickload properly?

Thanks, that DOES appear to have fixed it.

I guess starting a new game 'clears' whatever savegames were corrupted. It seems clear to me there was some issue with writing/reading the save games, even if it never gave me an error. The quickload wasn't working (even though the image was correct) and any other 'normal' save had only a blackscreen.

Glad I can continue on in Cyseal.

Could you load an old savegame after this? Or did you just start over the game?
