So I met Cassandra and she wants me to kill Arhu. I know the Arhu isn't suppose to die as he's a main character in the later games. I go to talk to Arhu (human and cat form) in Cyseal and he just goes on about the stuff that happened in the beginning of the game.
Am I missing something, or did I hit another damn game breaking bug?

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

If you want to kill Arhu (which is a valid solution to the quest), you can just Ctrl+Click on him to initiate combat, like with everyone else.
If you don't want to kill him, there's obviously another solution, but Arhu doesn't know anything about it. A dialogue option for "Hey, this crazy lich woman wants to kill you" would be nice, but you can finish the quest without ever talking to Arhu. Just keep exploring the area.

After receiving the quest to kill Arthu, he admitted stealing some source stones from her forest and says that there is an alternative solution (making Cassandra vulnerable). If you decide to kill him, there is a dialog option "So it has come to this old friend. (Attack)" or similar.
Iirc Arthu has no other chests/ rewards for you, so you don't miss out on anything if you kill him. If you want to max your XP just kill both of them.

Ok, thanks for confirming that this NPC is glitched. Your not suppose to kill Arhu btw. I mean I'm not a cat lover, but this hair ball puking...white fur shedding... meowing in the middle of the night... animal actually does some good for the Divine One in Divine Divinity. After receiving the quest to kill Arthu, he admitted stealing some source stones from her forest... This conversation might have come up once in a previous build, but this conversation will not come up for me with the latest build of the game. I read ahead and found out That you had to destroy Cassandras skeleton to make her vulnerable. At least you can bypass the glitch.

Maybe you get this conversation only if you speek to arhu in ghostwood (hunters-edge) seems he forgot all, if you speek to him in Cyseal?

I had forgotten that he did appear there, though I figured he disappeared like what he did at Silverglen. I just went into the game and saw that he is in Hunters Edge... so we now have a glitch (again) with two Arhu NPC's roaming around. The Old Cyseal ones (changes from cat to human) and now the cat-only one at Hunters Edge. Well hopefully Larian gets to fixing this to prevent further confusion. Now if Arhu was a dog, I wouldn't mind it quite as much, but cats ... well you know the whole hair ball thing...

Yeah, there's 2 Arhu's... the one at Hunter's Edge does have dialogue options for Cassandra, Cyseal's not. Hunter's Edge one will insta-kill you pretty much in a single round... the one in Cyseal can't make a dent in a pack of butter (but still takes ages to take down). Take your pick which to choose to kill...

Thanks Hassat, Another bug... an outdated NPC that should no longer be spawned. I'm so disgusted at how the game turned out. I wish to hell that we could have beta tested all this before release. It really bothers me that my name is on a game that turned out this bad with bugs and balancing issues. Think I'll stay away from KickStarter, learned my lesson... the hard away again

Compared to some of my favorite games (KOTOR2, Bloodlines) this is nothing...

It really bothers me that my name is on a game that turned out this bad with bugs and balancing issues. Think I'll stay away from KickStarter, learned my lesson... the hard away again This is your first video game ever, right? Because compared to a lot of classics the amount of bugs in this is nothing. Zip. Minor issues at the very best, especially for a game this size and with this many convoluted and optional quest paths. Try Vampire: Bloodlines if you want to see how it could have turned out, then come back and tell us if you're still disgusted. Something will slip the radar, always. But considering I've only ran into one big glitch (exploding mushrooms beneath Hunter's Edge) during 60 hours of gameplay I'd say they did a damn, damn good job of bugfixing and beta testing.

Off the top of my head the only glitches I can think of is that a couple times (three maybe) one of my PC's would disappear and just their empty armor would be standing there, following me around. A quick save and quick load fixes that. The other would be sometimes when I go back to where a battle was fought the last spell the enemies used before they died would suddenly get cast again on their bodies. I assume this is because the spell didn't time out before they were killed, so it's still active somehow. Neither of these are game breaking though.

Yeah, that last one happens frequent and can be a bit unsettling... Just walking around and suddenly BOOM... what the? And it's just that issue popping up again.
