You guys have one heck of great game! I tell every gamer I run into that is one to check out. I worked through every nook and cranny and came to this board to get tips so I wouldn't miss anything. BTW, what was the Dark Elf Amulet all about that said "to my Friend BC" or something close to that? I finished the game with a level 49 Warrior. Sure hope there is an expansion coming soon. Until then, what other games out there are like this and Diablo 2. I tried NWN and didn't really like that. I'm not a warcraft 3 fan. Just bought Baulder's Gate 2 and was really disappointed by it. I had read great reviews about it too. I guess I'm more of a the "hack and slash" RPG fan. BG Dark Alliance was great on Xbox. It sounds like there are some very fun games coming out this year, but if anyone has a suggestion please post.
Thanks.

Show patience with BG 2. It really is as good as everyone said.

Why not try out Arx Fatalis? It's a pretty good Dungeon-Crawl RPG. (Is that even a category?) Or maybe try Icewind Dale 2, Baulur Gate's hack n' slash cousin.

BG II does have QUITE a lot of battle, however not in the style of DD or Diablo. It also has ALOT of storytelling.

If you hate storytelling and just want to kill/kill/kill Icewind Dale uses the same engine as Baldurs Gate II, but is much more combat oriented. There is a bit of storytelling, but not as much as Baldurs gate. Since you basically like only hack and slash.. I don't think either of these would appeal to you.

I'd only recommend Icewind Dale II if you LIKED the first Icewind Dale, and like the engine/battle style.

Other than that, Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (For PS2/XBox) would be the only hack and slash game I can reccomend. (Crappy graphics, stupid story, tons of hack and slash, but GREAT hours of endless/mindless hack and slash!)

Also Harbinger (PC) is kinda a "diablo in Space" however, it currently is buggy, and VERY SHORT but you can replay the game with 3 different characters. The graphics are beautiful however. I'd wait another 6 months till they finnally patch it though before you buy it.

Also I think there is Hunter: The Reckoning (Xbox) havent played it but it is basically hack and slash I believe?

actually, buy baldurs gate, and the expansion pack, tales of the sword coast. you should be able to buy them together in a package called "the original saga." it's cheap but it's good.

bg2 follows the storyline created in bg1 and you can import your character from bg1 into bg2. get throne of bhaal instead.

i was gonna recommend you get planescape torment like i do to everyone else, but you said you like hack and slash rpg's and hack and slash is one thing PS:T is not...

If ONLY we could have him come to the DARK SIDE(tm) and enjoy excellent story and fighting and difficult choices.

I have played Hunter the Reckoning for Xbox. It's simply insane. Way, way too many monsters. My son and I played it cooperatively which is a great feature. Unfortunately, we got pretty close to the end and just got distracted and haven't finshed it. I am sure your right about BG2. I've heard you really need to stick with it. I guess I like the games you can pretty much pick up go, and have great graphics DD scores very high in my opinion here. Just a joy to play.
