There will be another patch this week or next, but I don't think it is the one with companions. The only thing I've seen mentioned as being included is improvements for the co-op dialogue system.

Yes, it is coming soon. The 1.0.107 patch notes said to expect the new companions in the coming weeks, so September seems more likely than October.

Well crap. I stopped playing after beating the game once because I thought the new companions were coming the following week. Also I assume there will be some gameplay tweaks and I didn't want to be in the middle of a game when the new patch hits. Now it's even pushed back even further.

LeBurns, it's best they get it done right instead of rushing it and making a mess of the game.

Ye but they shouldn't have said that they will release the new companions in august if they arent going to be, if they were unsure when they'd finish the new patch they shouldt specify a month and get people excited over nothing.

Game development hits snags sometimes. I'm sure they had every intention of releasing them in August. If they don't, it wasn't to be malicious. Things just held up proper development of the patch. I'd rather it done right than have it rushed just so it comes out in August.

Downloading a 152.7MB update. Any notes? Got no notes, but it sounds promising. Notes for patch 1.0.130 up on STEAM.

Cool stuff. Thanks. Couldn't see anything concerning dialogues in co-op. Hope it's in WIP at least.

New companions, right? Right...? No, which means I still can't start a new game as I was wanting the new companions to complement my PC's, but I have no idea what kind of PC's to make if I don't know what the new companions are. I suppose I could do a Lone Wolf run, but I have no idea how I would survive that since I barely made it using four party members last time.

Thank you for continuing bugfixing and patching the game. Much appreciated. And for the new companions, i honestly think please dont rush it if it's not going to be polished despite some impatience gamers.

I was wanting the new companions to complement my PC's, but I have no idea what kind of PC's to make if I don't know what the new companions are. Hey, I'm doing the same thing! Bought the game a couple weeks ago, then stopped playing once I found out that I had assembled my whole party after 2 hours. When I read the Steam description: "Gather your party and get ready for a new, back-to-the-roots RPG adventure! Discuss your decisions with companions..." Since this was a top-billed feature, I had somehow expected there to be more to it -- similar to Baldur's Gate, perhaps. Since I've never encountered a cRPG with so little choice in one's party, I was taken totally by surprise and decided to wait for more content to be implemented. I don't want to feel forced into teaming up with (what see as) rather flat characters like Madora, yet neither would I want to sortie out with Generic_Henchman #1 and Generic_Henchman #2 to quietly obey orders. Yes, there's a level of impatience to it -- who isn't eager for new content in a game they like? -- but it's not the kind of blind, "at any cost" impatience that some here like to characterize. I'm sure that, like you, I'll just be mildly disappointed with each passing update, and then glad when those companions finally arrive.
