All that said, Larian should maybe have provided free respecs in some form as is usual in MMOs when Talents change a lot. But the resistance change in itself is, IMO, good for the game.
I suppose your comment concern the difficulty balance changes and a current party build played broken?
Ok, but I don't agree to change a fun and small challenging respec that requires organization and some focus and planing, to some too easy one click respec.
