I was wanting the new companions to complement my PC's, but I have no idea what kind of PC's to make if I don't know what the new companions are.
Hey, I'm doing the same thing!
Bought the game a couple weeks ago, then stopped playing once I found out that I had assembled my whole party after 2 hours. When I read the Steam description:
"Gather your party and get ready for a new, back-to-the-roots RPG adventure! Discuss your decisions with companions..."
Since this was a top-billed feature, I had somehow expected there to be more to it -- similar to Baldur's Gate, perhaps. Since I've never encountered a cRPG with so little choice in one's party, I was taken totally by surprise and decided to wait for more content to be implemented.
I don't want to feel forced into teaming up with (what see as) rather flat characters like Madora, yet neither would I want to sortie out with Generic_Henchman #1 and Generic_Henchman #2 to quietly obey orders.
Yes, there's a level of impatience to it -- who isn't eager for new content in a game they like? -- but it's not the kind of blind, "at any cost" impatience that some here like to characterize. I'm sure that, like you, I'll just be mildly disappointed with each passing update, and then glad when those companions finally arrive.
