Nice guide, keep up the good work. I really enjoy your videos.
Personally, I make a few changes compared to what you recommend:
1. I always take Dust Devil at character creation. Without using a mod, that ability cannot be found elsewhere in the game. The other starting Man-At-Arms abilities can be purchased from Aureus once you enter the game.
2. I prefer to start with 8 strength and 7 intelligence. Strength affects your chance to hit %, which is important if you are playing on hard difficulty. 7 intelligence gives you a 90% success rate when casting the highly effective low level elemental and witchcraft buffs. Armor or an amulet with 1 int can be found relatively early that will make your casting success 100%.
3. I remove the points in weapon skills due to a later issue. Investing a single point in hydro is very useful for self-healing, a point in earth will give you oil slick (for slowing - BULLY!), and point in aero will give you teleport (group the enemies together then Dust Devil - or spread them out to reduce incoming damage).
Anyway, not criticizing the way you do it, just offering alternatives you may want to consider.
Thanks again for all the videos you make, they're great!
You make good points, i didnt realize the Dust Devil cant be bought later on, seems to be a bug to me then. On the point of putting an int in, the starting healing spell is good enough to the end game, there some vids where i dont use anything else but that to heal my self and it does from nothing to full. I just dont like having character stunned or demobilized in any way and i lean towards willpower...i dont really feel that hydro is that important, considering Johan has that covered from the very start. My guide is made if you have 2 other companions with you =) thats why this build might not work for everyone =)
