This goes both ways - if you wanted a Resist cap, it was equally trivial to implement one. We are just annoyed that Larian is taking it upon themselves to moderate the difficulty of the game by stifling player creativity and options rather than developing and fine-tuning new and interesting content.

Right, that is what I did. Just took it in my own hands and will continue to do so. I probably have near 1000 changes to game balance. From lowering gold in the game so it is always an object, to reworking many skills costs, cooldown etc, to modding their level requirements. Why several levels between spell level groupings? Why level 4 spells and not 5's and 6's then a bunch of 7's? That's no fun... So then just redo it and have several spells for every level up to 20. Resistance adjustments, Magic, Melee and Range adjustments, Sneaking FOV adjustment, HP adjustments to you and npc, AP adjustments to you and npc. If one took it in their own hands they could have their personal classic, also it has its own sort of fun doing so.

I'm sort of for no more tweaking because of selfishness, they make some minor structure change and I'm hours having to redo all the changes I made again as the old files make the game not work correctly. That is a pain, but imo for the greater good of all and for the real long term of the game, they should balance it to where they want it to be.

The next big sales uptick for D:OS is when it has its first steam sale. If they have a lot of these issues taken care of by then, when those people start playing after dropping a $20 they will have an excellent mature game, that word of mouth will spread once again.

I usually am with this group for most games, but some games still get me out opening day, D:OS. I know waiting I save and get a better overall experience, two huge beni's. These people will be none-the-wiser of how easy it was for elemental damage to heal you was and things like that, as most will be fleshed out by then.
