Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Technical Issues Endless loading screen

Here is what solved my problem:

1. I backed up the game via Steam
2. I used the "delete all local files" option in Steam
3. I renamed the remaining Divinity Original Sin sub folder inside the Steam directory into something else
4. I restored the game from the Steam backup

Only backup and restore without step 3 above did not work, but renaming/removing the folder solved the issue.
