And before anybody recommends getting a desktop computer, I have a physical disability that limits me to using only laptop trackpads. I was very excited to try this game out because it is one of the only few games I can actually play these days, but is not working out for me
You can actually buy trackpads for desktops--indeed, bigger and better trackpads than come standard with laptops. Desktops are recommended for gaming because they generally follow the hardware standards much better than laptops (which are customized in all sorts of goofy ways to increase power conservation in order to extend battery life, etc.) It's cool if you can't swing for a desktop and I sympathize. Just keep this in mind next go around. As a rule, we pay through the nose for portability & battery life but are short-changed most everywhere else with portables. That's why the rule is if you like gaming go with a desktop when at all possible. It will cost less and run much better.
