1) 2 hard points in crafting, 3 in blacksmithing ( with bracers, belt and Pragmatic - 5/5). Till level 22 I didn't see +2 on gear.
2) Did not check but as I know there is no benefit.
3) You've read the wrong guide, go for 5/5.
But Blacksmithing is totally useless if your gear is not based on STR/DEX, for example- all mage party. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
