So I pick up the star stone buried in the Source Temple (Yes the one with Zandalor). After I pick it up, my waypoint lights up. I go to the end of time, and all of a sudden, Zixzax is going crazy bringing me from new portal to new portal. When I saw the henchmen for hire at level 1, I knew this was supposed to happen 1 star-stone by starstone. But it happened after I had collected practically all of them. It ended at the chapel waypoint. I missed out on so much story along the way. I was 90 hours in to the game. It felt so weird hearing about the "Guardian" stuff ALL AT ONCE. Anyways, I ended up finishing the game 5 hours later. I'm just sad I didn't get fed the cool "Guardian" story along the way.


TL:DR

End of Time portals didn't open until I had collected all of the star stones.



PS: I had been back to the end of time many times after collecting the first few stones, Zixzax had no clue, and there was nothing remotely hinting at the fact I had activated the stones.




I consider this a pretty serious bug, anyone else experienced this?

Some people have had problems with Zixzax not opening new portals when he should (either due to an issue with Zixzax or the conversation with the NPC in each opened room).

In some cases Zixzax can be reset (getting him to continue opening portals) by teleporing or killing him, but this is the first I recall seeing a spontaneous update doing everything at once.
It is by design that new rooms do not open while the homestead is under attack, so depending on how long that lasts people can get multiple rooms opened one after the other. People have also just missed talking to the NPC in the last opened room.

I'm having the same issue, HS not under attack, portals not opening... Zixzax just spouting out the same line doing nothing.. Teleporting didn't work.

Can you fix this Raze when I send my latest save file?

I'm on a mac, 6 inert stones (not sure if I kept all) 1 active bloodstone in my inventory. Only the two first portals opened and the fire elemental one (but that's not showing on the minimap)

You can email the zipped save to supportdos@larian.com, and I can forward it to someone who should be able to fix it.

So Zixzax is at a portal or the statue urging you to enter? Is there no conversation with the spirit or demon when you enter, or do they not appear at all?

But that isn't it anyways, I had gotten a few stones before I even found him in northern LF.

Sounds like there are a few issues with scripts involving the portals and Z.

Zixzax is just standing still (across the portal to the observatory where we first met him), only giving one line about why I'm not entering and wondering what awaits me. I can enter the fire elemental portal, talk to it and buy scrolls etc. But nothing else happens for me beyond that portal... Should be more open though, right?

Zipped savefile has been sent as per your suggestion, hopefully things get sorted

Apparently Zixzax is waiting for your characters. Head north west up the steps, and when you get close to the portal to your characters' left, it will trigger a conversation and Zixzax, after which the portal will activate and he will run over.

Wow, thanks for helping me out... I was sure that I had tried running towards every single portal just to try that... Must've missed one or some I guess. Anyway, Zixzax jumpstarted to all remaining portals so far, much obliged.

Too easy to find him by accident in the north LF. I'm sure many people found him early and never got the "Guardian Story" because of it. Not reasonable IMO.
