Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Technical Issues Characters saving action points

I was enjoying this game until the last patch, now when I enter battle the bad guys go and my team saves their action points. I don't get to select their actions, (or lack of) they merely choose it for themselves.

I started a new game even verified my files via Steam.

I approach the first battle and the guy summons his three undead the bad guys go and my team saves their action points, the bad guys go and my team saves their action points, the bad guys go and my team saves their action points, the bad guys go and my team saves their action points ... until my guys are dead.

Once we enter battle I HAVE NO CONTROL over my characters.

This seems to be a common problem according to the Steam forums.

I sure hope a fix is on the way, or I'm going to feel real silly for backing this game from the start.

Heck, I even bought the strategy game Dragon something or other just to show support.

EDIT: OK, after completely removing the game and doing a new install the game is running fine. I think maybe the problem was with a corrupted file on my machine that Steam didn't find when it checked the files.
