Well, the game just wont start from steam anyway, i click play and nothing happens. Anyways i will try verifying integrity and or deleting and installing it again.
If verifying local files doesn't help, try starting the game directly from the '..\Divinity - Original Sin\Shipping\EoCApp.exe' program file (in the Steam Library click on Browse Local Files, and then exit Steam).
Also, shut down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before trying to start the game.
I've seen far more conflicts caused by anti-virus programs than I have viruses.
Maybe it is enough to let your virus scanner not check the gamefolder? (<Steamlocation>\Steam\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Shipping) Exclude this folder (and subfolders).
