My follow-on speculation is that Larian are in talks for access to the Das Schwarze Auge license, with a view to staging a new game upon it. I make this claim only based on what happened with 1999's cancelled The Lady, The Mage and The Knight game, coupled with something Swen recently said about, direct quote, "a certain license we tried to get, but they haven't replied to us [...]."

I agree that Larian won't sell. The sole reason why they had to do the kickstarter campaign was to release the game without the help from a publisher limiting content and releasing the game unfinished (Divinity II - Ego Draconis). I'm just advising them as a fan as we haven't heard anything regarding it.

That would also be my speculation. A remake of LMK.

Although I would suggest ironing out first D:OS as we haven't heard any significant news from them since after their long holiday. Having the $1 million stretch goal would be nice, if not, ambitious.
