Why oh why can I not go on a murderous rampage and kill every living thing in the game, I so wanted to take on patriach, and the council of seven, I noticed that when they are all toasted by the black ring they drop goodies, they could be my goodies if I were allowed to backstab them. So what if it destroys the story line, I can live with that, boo Larian, boo.

Let's imagine for a while that it is possible, you would be happy...for a while.
After weeks of playing you decide you want to finish the game, but you can't because you killed someone important a while ago, now, isnt that fun?

Try Elemental Hail, Poison Cloud or other area effect spells which do not need a target on Patriach. This can be used for most NPCs, even some required to complete the game.

Will do. I think that once an NPC has played their part in the story line, they should become a target, just like everything else in the game. Thats what made gothic so much fun, since the story was kinda linear, I just layed waste to every living thing in the world, very forfilling <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I only do it once i've finished the game, I use multiple save games allowing me go back to any point I wish <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
