Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Technical Issues Divinity Engine crashes "app has stopped working"

I have used the Divinity Engine before on my old system and it worked.
I now installed it on my new system and I cannot get it to run.
It always crashes when loading my (new) module with the error message "app has stopped working".

I start the editor in administrator mode and I have also checked my paths in the editor. All seems to be in order.

I'm running version 1.0.169 of DOS. Could it be that the latest patch is causing this problem for me?

Any help or advise is very appreciated.
