Turning invisible and sneaking up on priests making sacrifices that turn a stars tone into a blood stone can lead to getting both. What happens is that the star stone flairs and you get credit for the star stone then the cut scene for the sacrifice takes place and the blood stone is created anyway. You can then obtain the blood stone and use it. I actually ended with more stones than rooms.
