So, I loot the treasure room, grab the scroll...then comes the DL with the new stuff.

I load up, and the scroll is....gone. I've carefully searched my characters' inventory, all 4 characters, multiple times. I've checked the hotkeys to see if maybe I hotkeyed the scroll, nope. I went over inventory items one by one, thinking maybe the scroll graphics make it look like something else. Nope. I went back to the homestead and looked in the chests. Nope. I went back to the treasure room and looked there again. Nope.

I've reloaded the game a few times...nope.

My journal says I found the scroll, but I can't find it ANYWHERE. Dialogue with the well says to read the scroll...which I can't, since I don't have the scroll, anywhere.

Any idea what happened? Is there a command to just add the scroll to inventory somehow? I sure don't want to keep playing knowing that key items can just vanish without a trace.

Any hint would be good.

You can check out the Save Game Editor and see if that will let you replace the scroll (I haven't tried it recently).

Alternately, email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain system and game information, as well as your saved games. To reduce the file size, you can delete all but your latest save from the zip, and maybe leave the most recent save with the scroll, if available, and oldest without.

Thanks...not a great solution, though. I reckon the reward is just a chest with some loot? I'll just write it off for now, and do the same to the game if another quest item vanishes.

Darndest thing, though, I've even tried using the inventory organizing buttons, still no dice (I reckon it'd appear under "ingredients" but checked them all).
