Hehe, didn't I get a surprise when my companion Bair found the NPC she was seeking. She then went to his side against me. He then summoned 5 seriously pissed off creatures that ate my 3 remaining party members. Ahem. so did I do something wrong here or was she supposed to switch sides? Also, My team is level 14, should I have gone somewhere else first before confronting this 14th level summoner? Thanks

You didn't do anything wrong as far as Bairdotr's quest goes. Don't take her into the cave, or attack before the conversation gets triggered, and you can avoid her leaving.

BTW, there is currently an issue when she leaves as part of the quest that your party size doesn't get adjusted properly, so you can not replace her with a different companion or henchmen. That will be fixed in a future update.

I am pretty sure the answer is at least partly wrong. I entered the cave with her and left it with her after victory. That said - the dialogue in which she chose to stay with me referred to (a) dialogue(s) question(s) she had way back, answered by me consistently in one way.

I sorta figured that I didn't have a high enough reputation with her. Maybe I should have been nicer to her earlier on, lol. But even if she stayed on my side, it is going to be one helluva hard battle. I will try it again later on
