hmmm. I'd have to say what I do is more of a list than a single thing.
Over the last 15 years, I have spent about equal time doing the following things for money and the general good:
Teaching biology, ichthyology, and animal behavior to college students (Berkeley).
Working for non-profit groups either on US environmental policy, or researching shark behavior and biology.
Programming networks and websites for rock stars (like NSYNC and Rod Stewart).
repairing/building computers and networks.
Programming online databases for various reasons.
and of course... spending a lot of time playing computer games (fantasy RPG's are my favorites!), tho I have only gotten paid for that once <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
Though I much prefered doing research on sharks, I'd have to say that programming databases and networks pays better (unfortunately <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> )
Not sure what I will be doing next, but working back into biology research is my preference.
