When you uninstalled the game, did you make sure there was nothing left in the install folder that could have been carried over into the new install?
Check out the '..\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\Public' folder, as well as '..\Data\Editor\Mods'. You can delete anything in the Mods folder, and anything related to any test levels you made in the editor in the Public folder.
