No. Quests can have multiple solutions, and are not designed to be run on rails, so can not have arrows to lead you through.
Limited resources restricted how much dialogue could be voice acted for the release (and only in English), let alone text in general. A single narrator might alleviate the need to have different voice actors for male and female characters (using lines from the same pool of responses for generic dialogue), but that is still a lot of text. Also, it misses the point of the game design.
