I noticed I had cd burning software on (alcohol 120%) which creates a vitual cd drive.This gave me 2 cd drives sharing the same device. I uninstalled it and now I dont get the "cant't locate cd" error. The game now loads.
I never had this problem with the previous patch. So if you have any emulating software installed it might pay to try this.
