Yes the GeForce 8800 GS is known to have this issue, and should be fixed by the Terminal command above.

I tried editing your post for the spoiler, but it timed out for me as well, even trimming enough to add the tag and stay under the same character length. I saved the sampler output (it is probably not necessary) and removed it.
